Hunton's have recently completed the construction and installation of a new 40 tonne road bridge over the river Medway. This bridge is a fitted with 26 tonnes of counter balance at one end to allow lifting with a pair of 5 Tonnes hydraulic rams to allow river traffic to pass though underneath by lifting to an angle of 45 degrees

Above left we have a photo of the bridge being raised to allow a boat to pass and above right the underside during fabrication in our shop. Below is a hydraulic ram with locking collar device, the main Counterweight section in sections of 50mm thick plate welded together and the control panel for the system.
